As a rural family practice, our physicians provide a broad scope of primary care. Most services are covered by Alberta Health Care; some (such as certain forms, notes, and driver medicals) are uninsured and subject to a fee — please ask when booking.

Routine check-ups and physical examinations

  • Care for acute illness and injury

  • Well-child visits

  • Women's and men's health

  • Seniors' care and medication reviews

  • Mental health care and counselling referrals

Everyday Family Medicine
Walkin Clinic 

We offer a Walk In Clinic during regular office hours 

 

 Monday - Friday

9am-12pm  & 1pm-4:30pm

Closed on Stat and Weekends

Walk in functions on the principal of triage where the sickest patients are seen first 

Ongoing & Preventive Care

  • Chronic disease management (diabetes, blood pressure, COPD, heart disease)

  • Prenatal and postnatal care

  • Cancer screening (Pap tests, mammogram and colon screening referrals)

  • Smoking cessation support

  • Minor surgical procedures (mole and skin lesion removal, biopsies)

  • Joint injections

  • Casting and fracture follow-up

  • Cryotherapy (liquid nitrogen)

  • Driver medicals and insurance forms (fees apply)

  • Workers' Compensation Board (WCB) assessments

Visiting Specialists

We have Specialists that provide care in our clinic on a monthly or bimonthly basis and are accessed by referral from family Dr ONLY.

Complementary Services

We have  complementary cervices that are periodically offered in the clinic by other health service providers

Respiratory Therapy 

Hearing Life

Lab and X-ray: 

Laboratory and diagnostic imaging services are provided by Alberta Health Services at the Vulcan Community Health Centre, in the same building as the clinic. Your physician will let you know if a requisition is needed.

After hours and emergencies: 
The clinic does not provide after-hours care. If you need urgent care when the clinic is closed, call Health Link at 811, visit the Emergency Department at the Vulcan Community Health Centre, or call 911 in an emergency.
